Watching thru Browser NOT App

Post by jmj799 » Tue Mar 27, 2018 6:21 pm

I have always been able to send a link to my husband and he could watch the game from his android phone. Just recently it started telling him he had to download the app. We do not want to have to pay a monthly subscription just to watch a game here and there. Seems like if the app is not installed on an IPhone you can still watch thru the browser, but not the android. Also it tweets a link that then doesn't work for anyone unless they buy the app.

I always use this app because people could watch for free and did not have to subscribe to anything just to follow a game they could not attend.

Please help me and what to tell my husband and other working parents that cannot always attend games, and just want to watch thru the link like they always have.

iscore has changed their viewing platform and now all mobile devices are routed to the iscore central app. Here is a thread discussion about it. You can view games for teams that have a team website ($20 annual fee) for free.

Here is another thread with some more discussion on the topic

I would add
The $20 per year Team Web site subscription was already a good value, and the company added in the free viewing for its long time users, as a testimate to its customer focus. the inclusion for a whole team to view for free is a bargain in my opinion. I encourage folks to try the mobile viewing App with its Audio broadcast- it is unique in market and display better optimized for mobile devices.

small point of clarification, the same behavior exists on android and ios. - there is mobile viewer app for both Apple and iOS.

For those teams that do not opt for the Team subscription, the $5/for 3 months for an individual subscription is also a good value. For less than the price of post game ice cream trip, you can cover your entire kids youth season.

Just so there is an official response from the iScore / SI Play / SportsEngine team...

We've been working to improve the overall experience for our iScore users, by simplifying and centralizing iScorecasts through our iScore Central app.

For just $4.99 for a 3 month subscription users will not only get live play-by-play of the game as it's being scored, but can also access the audio simulcast while on the go. Additionally, this subscription allows for personalized notifications as well as ad-free viewing.

It's important to us to continually evolve our products and services to meet the needs of our customers. As such, we added the feature that iScore Team Website subscriptions ($19.99 / year for a team) will enable viewing of iScorecasts for all their fans.

Can someone clarify for me what the tea, website adds. I am interested in switching back to iScore but I want all our parents to be able to watch the game without paying. By buying the $20 team site, that allows anyone watching out game to use iScore central to watch our games and use the audio feature is that correct? Just trying to make sure it’s the same as paying the $5per device to watch our games.

The Iscore pricing model is

Scorekeeper app (green icon for baseball) - android and iOS = free
Everything you need to score games, track stats and email coaches/fans game scorecards, and stats . Even track season totals for players and teams all free in scoreing app.

Additional, if scorekeeper has internet connections, they can broadcast real time pitch by pitch “ scorecast” for free - and provide web link that fans can watch for free on a computer/laptop

For viewing in a mobile device,Fans must download the central viewer app (blue icon) (iOS or android). To get pitch by pitch scorecast (with audio) on a mobile tablet/phone ~ 5$/3mo subscription

If a team scorekeeper purchased an optional ~ 20$ /year team web site subscription . The mobile app scorecast is unlocked for fans (open padlock) and is then free for fans for game pitch by pitch w audio . If fans don’t want ads, and favorite team saving. They can get a personal subscription

You can test all this for free by dowloading the app and playing around
