iScore Central Viewer App - Audio Cuts Out -iPhone6s Plugged In by USB lightening cable to car audio (responded)

When I am in my car - charging my iPhone and listening to a game via the USB connection - the audio cuts out after 25 to 26 seconds. It just goes to dead air.
When I open the menu in the app - it shows "Audio On".

Here is what I have tried to resolve the issue:
If I turn the Audio to Off and then back to On - still nothing.
If I unplug my iPhone - and plug it back in - the audio plays, but only for the 25-26 seconds. But I have to turn the audio off and back on again.
If I leave the phone plugged in, then switch to play music (via my Music app), then switch back to iScore Central, turn the Audio Off and then back On - the audio plays again, but still only for the 25-26 seconds before going to dead air again.

I'm using:
iPhone 6s
iOS 10.2.1
iScore Central app v1.52
driving a 2013 Ford Explorer

Again - this only happens when I have my phone plugged in (via the Lightning USB cable) and listening over my car's audio system. If it's not plugged in and I listen thru my phone's speakers - there is no issue. Same for headphones.

Also, I do not experience this issue when listening to any other music or radio app that I use. So it wouldn't seem to be a phone or connection issue.

Not sure if this is related, but I have the same problem with other apps (google maps, waze) when my phone is plugged in. I think it has to do with your bluetooth connection in the car. When plugged in the car wants to use it as a USB audio port.

@support developers will need to weigh in as this sounds very technical and specific.
(The 25 second delay sounds like a buffer, hoping it may be a helpful technical clue to the smart guys in coding and development).

Team mom, has a good lead, perhaps turn off Bluetooth?

Also makes me think to check the phone source setting... on phone, flick up control panel and flick right, there is a source field, (what does it say?) I think it should say dock (or USB) but not Bluetooth...

Also, I noticed you are on iOS 10.2.1, 10.3.1 is out and I doubt it solves, but worth trying with most up to date iOS from apple.

My car's radio has a menu selection to chose either USB or BT as the audio source. The issue I'm experiencing is when the phone is plugged in and USB is selected as the source - the same as when I'm using other apps that provide audio.

I have not tried this with the phone unplugged, BT on, and BT as the audio source (on my car's radio).

I do not experience this with any other apps (Pandora, Google Maps, Music, Audible, etc) - no matter how my phone is connected (USB or BT). Its an issue that really seems isolated to iScore Central.

I will try this with the BT off - but not sure how that will help. I would love if Support could look into this as well. (Note: many late model Ford's use the same sound system with the touchscreen interface.)

obviously a bit of trial and error on the moderators part, (and you have done much already).. team mom and i are just trying to float some ideas, while waiting on support..

Also, update iOS and double check the phone source info when stops playing (I know it works fine for all other apps, but perhaps central app sending (or not sending) a command)

We have not been able to reproduce this and this is the first such incident we have had reported. We would guess it is something with the cable but you say other apps do not have this issue which makes that seem unlikely. We use built in iOS capabilities for this functionality so it does not seem likely that it could be something we are doing in the iScore code. We did do a google search and came across this:
