Changing "NAME" of game after the fact
First game last night. I mistyped the name of my son's team (I wrote Ses Dogs rather than Sea Dogs).
Today, on my ipad, I corrected the team name as well as the "Name" field on the game. But given that the game had already synchronized with the website, I cannot seem change the "Name" field on the website. Any suggestions?

After updating the game name on the device, do an Options -> Export to update the Admin Website with the new name.

Dear FTMSupport. Thanks for your help. I did an export, though. "Ses" dogs still shows on admin site. What have I done wrong?

Are you saying that on the device it is showing one thing, and on the Admin Website (after an export) it is showing something different?
Maybe you are referring to an iScorecast? To update an iScorecast in this case, you must first remove the iScorecast by following the steps here:
http://iscoresports.com/baseball/kb/faq ... ecasts.php
You can then go to Game Manager in iScore, select the game, and select iScorecast Synchronize. (NOTE: You can also remove iScorecasts from the Game Manager screen by scrolling down and using the Delete iScoreCast option from there).

Re: Changing "NAME" of game after the fact
Yes - on my ipad, I correct my spelling mistake (no "play" data changed). I then 'exported.' (Have done this several times actually). The "name" field on the Admin Website doesn't change.FTMSupport wrote:Are you saying that on the device it is showing one thing, and on the Admin Website (after an export) it is showing something different?
I thought about possibly deleting the entire game from the website THEN exporting.
I also thought about doing an "undo" and "redo" on the game so that it would have a new set of data THEN exporting again.
But I was a little afraid to try either of these without getting advice from the support forum.
(I could also just learn to live with the misspelled team name . . . but that is bugging me.)
Thanks again!!

Re: Changing "NAME" of game after the fact
We are guessing the Home or Visitor team name is still incorrect even though the "game name" has been changed. Go to Game Manager, select the game, and scroll down on the Game Info screen to the Game Info section, and verify the home and visitor team names are spelled correctly there. Make any corrections, then do the Options -> Export again.

Re: Changing "NAME" of game after the fact
Ok -- fixed.
And I was relaying bad information. (SO SORRY!!)
I had changed the names of the teams as well as the "name" of the game . . . but while the team name change "stuck", the game name reverted on the ipad.
So, this time, I changed it again -- hit "play" then "exit" -- and the name stuck. Then when I exported, it of course fixed the web.
Sorry that I had you all chasing a solution for a problem I did not properly describe.
And thanks again!!
This is my fourth (or fifth?) year on iScore.
Again, thanks!!

In general you need to hit enter/done to make names stick . If you just close keyboard when editing . It may not stick
