Ok, runner on first, no one out. Batter hits ball to short center field. For some reason or another 2b thinks he can handle it. CF calls him off at the last second. CF drops ball. Runner is in a quandry. He's going to get out someway or another. Either force at second or forced out at first if ball caught.

After dropping fly ball, CF throws to SS covering the bag at second. Runner is forced out. Batter is safe at first.

So should this be an E6? At the end of the play the bases are filled the same manner, yet different individuals. Official scorer scored it a FC with the runner forced at second. Batter occupied first base and should have not. Possibly this could have been a double play. (I know one can not assume a DP unless flagrant error. Which was this case.)

Hit wrong key. Should have been E8.

FC is correct. No error because out was recorded. No harm/no foul...

Had the runner got to second safely, then judgment call, but sounds like E8.
