So, it turns out scrimmage games are good for the scorekeeper too . . .
For this I was using Android version on a Samsung Galaxy Tab with
Advanced Scorekeeping turned on
Situation 1 (I'm pretty sure I did this one wrong)
bases loaded, 1 out
batter hits a grounder to SS and runner from 2nd runs into the SS
call on the field: dead ball, runner's interference
runner from 3rd has to return to 3rd
What I punched in:
In Play, Fielder's Choice, medium grounder to SS, then pressed SS to
give the put out to the SS
What happened to runner on 3rd? Held Up (but I think the screen
showed the base as "Home", not "3rd", and I didn't notice it, because
I noticed later we had a run we shouldn't have)
What happened to runner on 2nd? Out, 3rd (should I have pressed 2nd?),
Runner's Interference, who was interfered with? SS
What happened to runner on 1st? Safe, 2nd, Adv by batter
What happened to the batter? Safe, 1st, Held Up
So, now there are 2 outs and the next batter strikes out, so inning ends with no runs. But, I notice we have one, and see in the play by play that the runner that was on 3rd was shown as scoring. So, I exit the scoring screen, bring up the play-by-play (sure would be nice if you could get to this just by clicking on a play in the scoring screen), and go to the play where that runner scored. I tried to change it to "help up at 3rd", but the best I was able to do at the moment to get the run off the board was to press "Did not score", so it showed "reached home and did not score".
Situation 2 (I think I got this one right)
Again, bases loaded and 1 out.
batter hits a ground ball towards 2nd, runner from 1st gets hit by the ball
call on the field: dead ball, runner's interference (is that right?),
runners have to return to their bases
What I punched in:
In Play, Fielder's Choice, medium grounder to 2nd
this time, I pressed NO fielders, since there was no out made on the actual ground ball play
What happened to the runner at 3rd? I paid close attention this time and
the screen was defaulted to Safe and 3rd, so I just pressed Held Up
What happened to the runner at 2nd? defaulted to Safe and 2nd, so I just pressed Held Up
What happened to the runner at 1st? Out, 2nd (should I have left it as 1st?),
Runner's Interference (is that still the right scoring when a runner gets hit by a ball?),
Who was interfered with? 2B (since the closest fielder gets the PO on this play, right?)
The runner at third was never shown as scoring on the play, and it all seemed to work better
in the 2nd situation. Was that the right way to do it?

Re: verify scoring on Runner's Interference, Runner hit by ball
The second play was entered correctly (although there is a "Hit by Ball" choice for outs). The first one should have been entered the way you entered the second one.

In iOS you can. Is this not in Android version?oconnor.jb wrote:So, I exit the scoring screen, bring up the play-by-play (sure would be nice if you could get to this just by clicking on a play in the scoring screen)

You can only edit right from the scoring screen on iPads.
