download new rosters

Post by akelter » Sat Jul 14, 2012 11:10 pm

I use iScore on my iPad and iPhone for PCL games (same iPhone version on both), so I entered the new 2012 rosters manually online using my desktop computer in the Team Manager area (Edit). But I can't figure out how to make sure these rosters get to my portable device(s). I can upload and download from the portables umpteen times, but all I get is the data I entered on the portable device(s) themselves. How can I get roster changes I made online to go to my portable devices?

Here are the steps that should be used:

1. Do an Options -> Export from within iScore to send your latest data to the server

2. Log in to the Admin Website (http://my.iscorecentral.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) and make any changes / additions you would like

3. Do an Options -> Import to retrieve the updates back to your device

I've created a roster for a new team on the admin website (It's faster to add the players that way from a pc...)
Now, I want to download that roster onto my tablet, but am not sure how to do it without (a) wiping out the team on the tablet or (b) wiping out the team on the adnin website   :?:

If you exported your data first, then made any roster changes, when you import the new data, it should overwrite everything on the device. However, your existing team would have good data from the previous export and everything should be there.

I'm a little stumped here...I guess I'm not sure if I export from the tablet (which has an empty Jamestown roster), I'll wipe out the complete roster on the admin site...(basically, I don't have any data for this team to export)

While I didn't lose the Jamestown roster on the admin site :), it did not download to the tablet upon import :(

Further mucking around with the admin site shows two entries for Jamestown, one with full roster and the other with no players :? :? :o

I would check your device and see if you have two Jamestown teams. If you do, then you can merge them on the device and reexport. The admin site should be good then.
