Mistaken Hit

Post by pboyle8 » Thu Jun 28, 2012 8:51 pm

I erroneously scored a bunt as a hit and then a tag out. It should have been an out on a bunt without the hit. How after the fact can I turn the hit and the tag out into a straight forward out

When you have scored a play as Safe, you can not change it to an out in the pitch by pitch. You could have used Undo if you noticed it immediately to undo anything you enter, but you can not change safe to out post game. You can edit the stats directly to remove the hit however. To do that, go to Game Manager, select the game, select Batting Stats, and tap the Single (or Bunt Single) field, and reduce the value by one for the player the mistake was made for.

Thanks. Did that, but doesn't appear to change the team hit statistics within the program.

If you reduce the hits for the player in a game by one, that change will also be reflected on Team Stats.

...but, it wont change anything within that specific game. I get the impression thats what the OP is looking at. The line score, game score, box score, scorebook, etc, will continue to show the same. This cant be changed without undoing back to that point and reentering the game from there.

As, FTM said though, stats will actually be correct for the player and the team.
