Giving us extra run at start of inning when other team up

Post by frachel » Thu Jun 28, 2012 5:24 pm

I'm having an issue with a game I scored tonight. I messed up a play, and when trying to fix it in the pitch-by-pitch I'm not getting the expected results. Also, the way I originally messed it up gave us a run. I ended up picking "runner not scored" in the pitch-by-pitch which shows the correct score, but out of nowhere in a later inning , between the top of 3rd and bottom of 3rd, it just "adds" a run to our score for no apparent reason.

What I currently have (after trying numerous edits) is this, in the top of 2nd:

Bases are loaded, #24 is on 3rd, #13 is on 2nd, #7 in on 1st, #11 is up.

#11 hits a grounder to SS, who gets the force at 2nd.

The pitch-by-pitch shows:

#11 hits to shortstop on the throw shortstop to second baseman
#24 reaches home but did not score ?
#13 advances to second
#7 is forced out at HOME

Obviously that's not right.. #7 was on 1st and got forced at 2nd, but I can't select any base for him, its picking Home on it's own.

But, at least at this point it's showing the right score (5-0 us, it was 6-0 before i picked 'did not score' for #24.

going through the next inning, we score 2 runs (shows 7), and on the last batter it has:

Substitution NONE
Strike 3
#28 strikes out swining.

The very next pitch entry changes innings to bottom of 3, and it has us at 8 runs (the 8 is in red, showing we just scored it).
The only things in this entry are all of our fielding substitutions. No idea why its adding a run to us.

Any ideas or info that could help fix it? Or can I somewhere edit the final score so its correct on the website?

Also - the scorebook properly shows the final score as 11-5, whereas the "Game Info" screen shows it 12-5, as does the website.

The easiest way for us to help troubleshoot this would be if you do an Options -> Export and email your customer ID (found on Options screen) to support@iscoresports.com. Let us know which game it is, and which inning/players you have the issue with, and we can look at your data to see what is going on.

I had a similar issue last month and had to export my data and email the issue and they fixed my database. I think that there is a bug when you change a run that originally showed as scored with the play by play editor to Run Not Scored it shows up in a later inning at the beginning of the half inning. Hopefully they find the error in the code and fix it going forward. Caused other issues in my game just because we were tied at the end of the game, but because of the extra run, the software didn't think so and tried to end the game after each extra inning. All of the other stats and the scorecard showed correctly, but the end of game logic obviously works off of score at the top of the page. I'm using the iPad version, what version were you on?
