OBP Question
I was scoring a game today and one of our players was 1 for 3 with a walk and reached on an error. His OBP is .500 on the stats. Is this correct? I though reaching on an error should count as a time on base because he was on base. Shouldn't his OBP be .750 (3-4)?

Re: OBP Question
No, ROE does not count in OBP. OBP only counts when the player reaches by his own doing, not because of error.

Re: OBP Question
I did not realize that. Thanks.
Re: OBP Question
Yes, bb, hit by pitch... a bb is considered earned and the batter is also credited with an RBI if his/her bb brings in a run.
But not on a fielding error, fielder's choice, dropped or uncaught third strike, fielder's obstruction, or catcher's interference.
