team roster

Post by team mom » Sun Oct 09, 2011 2:34 pm

the format of the team roster recently changed on the team website. Now instead of a simple table showing a list of names, it shows a small table for each player that includes a headshot silhouette for each player. Is there a way to change this to show a photo headshot for the player? If not, can the gender of the silhouette be changed to female?

Nice catch team mom.. I had not noticed this yet..

( I assume in the near future players with player card photos stored on server would show up here - true FTM?

If you are updating the roster format, I would hope to see active/inactive status incorporated..ideally a way to hide (toggle off) inactive players..

They will show up now if you turn it on. Go to Settings for your team website and there is an option to enable the player photos. We set it to off by default in case people have non-password rosters and don't want pictures to display.

Is there an example of this new feature on the iScore sample of team web sites so that we can see what it looks like?

All of them would have it on the Roster tab now, but it is likely disabled on their sites for now (they are real sites). You will see a silhouette instead of a headshot, but when enabled and photos have been taken for each player, you will see the headshots of the players.

Minor issue on the new Roster format...

I added some player Notes (via the admin site) but when I view it on the Roster section of my website, it is adding an extra character. For example, I added the text "It's My Life" but when I view it in my website, it says "It\'s My Life". For some reason it is adding a "\" that should not be there. I don't believe it was doing that prior to the new look of the Roster section (which is great, by the way).

Where did you add player notes? I've checked under setting on the team site and I've looked w/ in the iscore app on my ipad.

The head shots are great! I was going to create a dedicated roster page and now I don't need to do that.

You add the player notes on the admin webpage.
