Scoring FC in ISCORE

Post by sherry » Tue Jun 14, 2011 10:13 am

I am fairly new to this and am having some difficulty figuring out how to correctly score a FC on this program.
Let's say for example, there's a runner on first base, the batter hits the ball to 3rd base, who choses to PO the runner at second with no chance for a double play at first.

I hit "in play"
Then Fielder's Choice
Touch the spot where the ball was hit
ISCORE then asks me to touch the players that were involved in the play, I then mark 5-4.
The way I would expect the program to work is to then ask me what happened to the runner at first, at which point I could say "held up" because I've already stated the FC....but that's not what happens....

Very frustrated, help please

I'm a little confused. If you hit In Play, FC, Locate ball and then fielders, the next question is what happened to the runner on first (this is not the batter). In your case, you would touch Out, Second, Force Out. You would then be asked what happened to the batter and you would touch Held up. Are you not seeing it this way?

That's exactly what I needed to know...I couldn't figure out how to use it for this type of scoring. So just so that I'm clear:
The batter hits the ball, I hit "in play", and touch Fielder's Choice
I chose the location the ball was hit

Before I have a chance to tell it what happened to the runner on first (who is not the batter) it's asking me who was involved with the play.

At that point, I'm telling it who made the play at second and I think that's where I'm going wrong?????

Yes.. you would be entering the players involved in the play at second base when asked for the "touches" during the play.

something to keep in mind is iscore 'works the what happen to xyz" in "lead runner order...
clockwise order, starting with anyone on third, then second then first then batter/runner.
just something that you come to understand after some use.
