Would I be correct in thinking the swap button doesn't work once the game has started?

Five games over the weekend, we were home for 4 of them. So almost at the end of scoring our away game, I realize I have us set as home...

That is correct... once game has started, swap no longer works.

So what I actually did, was to "end inning" for the other team, to be able to enter our last inning at bat. They didn't need one, as they were winning, and home.

Will that mess up the stats for my team (I didn't skip their inning at bat).
