scoring an error question

Post by Tguerr16 » Sat Apr 09, 2011 2:20 pm

Say there are two players on base and the batter hits it to 3B and the fielder throws the ball away...both runners score and the batter advanced to 3B due to the error. How do I score the advancement of the two runners?

I already credited the fielder with an error for how the batter reached base but for each runner do I touch the "error" for his advancement?

Yes, error for the runner advancement as well. IScore will only assign the fielder one error even though you enter it as the way both players advance.

Its not working that way for me.

1. Enter batter reached first on error, assigned error to 3rd baseman
2. Enter runner on base advanced to third from first, choos error.....it then asks who to assign the error to.
a. If I choose 3rd base again, the player is given 2 errors

Do I just not assign the error? I didnt want to try that in the middle of the game.....

If the errors are entered as part of the same play, iScore only gives one error to a player. In the scenario you are describing, it sounds like you are trying to enter:

In Play
Error
(touch location)
(asks who made the error) 3B
(asks what happened to batter/runner on first) Safe, Third Base, Error, 3B

The third baseman will only be given 1 error even though you used him twice to enter the play.
