runner advancement question

Post by Tguerr16 » Sat Apr 09, 2011 2:17 pm

While scoreing the game, when a player is on base and the batter gets a hit I will be asked "what happened to the runner that was on first base, player 0". I noticed that the player is already or automatically advanced to the next base...do I touch "Advanced by batter" or "held up" due to the fact that he is already there?

Either one is fine. Generally we would use advanced by batter in that case but statistically there is no difference between the two.
