Editing after the fact... Seems to be a real issue?

Post by Rosborn » Tue Apr 05, 2011 6:41 pm

You guys seems to be very knowledgeable... Thanks for that and the help..

I must have entered an out wrongly, tried to enter a force and must have not entered the exact sequence and screwed up.. Anyway on the next out, which was really only the second it changed from the top of to of the fifth to the bottom of the fifth... The game doesn't stop and I didn't have time to go back and find my mess uo and fix it so I pushed end inning and went on.. I did after the game with the outher scorer and can now fix it if someone out there in cyber space can help.... This editing seems to be a big issue, mainly because when a mistake is made you can't just fix it on the spot while the game continues ...
Please help...I've exported the info to the myiscore and I think that's where I have to go ot fix???? Ron

Ron,
Unfortunately an out is a game changing item that is not editable after the game. In order for you scorecard to accurately reflect the game you would need to print your scorecard, undo the game to the mistake, then rescore using your printed scorecard. If the scorecard is not the issue then of coarse stats can be edited to accommodate player stats for accurate season totals.

Hope this helps.

This did help and I did exactly that, it was actually only one inning back... Thanks now, in the third inning I gave a gal a hit and it was an error, how can I edit that without undoing all the way back..nice tried going to pitch by oitch but I must be in wrong window cause I don't see any editing feature anywhere , I do keep reading about editing in the pitch by somewhere

Your welcome.
Regarding the double play with a runner on first you can swipe the out button to show quick plays that have double plays included. Much easier than tapping it out.

There is a pretty significant learning curve, but once mastered you will learn most of the safeguards in iscore are there for a reason and keep the integrity of the stats. You can always override the stats if necessary when a mistake is not fixable through pitch by pitch editing. It gets easier the more you use it. This board is a huge help as well. Good luck!
