Iscorecast

Scored my first game on Sat. I couldn't figure out how to enter pitching sub. I figured it out later w/ the pitch by pitch.

On iscorecast (play by play) it didn't correct when I edited. I then deleted the game from the website and re-exported.

Can I get the game updated on the website(play by play)? after deleting and re-export from handheld?

To update the iScorecast, go to Game Manager, select the game, and scroll down to "i-Scorecast Synchronize" and tap that. It will send your changes to the iScorecast server.

So, can a synchronize be done at any time (in the middle of scoring) to get changes to reflect on the live scorecast?

I had previously noted (see: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2960" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) that some changes do not seem to get reflected in the scorecast.

Thanks. Mark.

Yes, an iScorecast Synchronize can be done at any time. Note however that when it is done, only people refreshing their iScorecast Viewer or coming in after the syncrhonize is done would see the changes reflected. The viewers do not re-read old events from the game --- they are only looking for new events. If you use Undo, the viewers would see those, but if you go back into Pitch by Pitch to make an edit, then do the iScorecast Syncrhonize, it would require them to refresh to see those updates.

So, any update on the ability of the HTML player to reflect player name changes as they are made? (Note - will post this same question in my referenced thread above...may make more sense to answer there).

We have not had a change to address this yet. If a viewer refreshes after you make a change, it will be reflected, but existing viewers would not see player name changes that are made during the game on the HTML Viewer right now.

OK, but just to clarify, a viewer refresh may or may not reflect changes depending on the method used to make the change. If I use Misc->Show Lineup, then yes. But if I use [tap on batter]-> [tap on right arrow]->Player Info, then no update occurs even after refresh.

Also noticing that notes entered for "next play" will come across on the iscorecast, but notes for "previous play" do not. By design? Again this is viewing on HTML player.

The editing of the lineup using the [tap on batter]-> [tap on right arrow]->Player Info method does not resend the Lineup to the iScorecast server. Editing the starting lineup does. If you us the first method, then update using the Show Starting Lineup for any reason, it should update the entire starting lineup for the iScorecast.

The notes on the previous play would be the equivalent of using pitch by pitch editing, so yes, it would not come through on the iScorecast unless you do an i-ScoreCast Syncrhonize from the Game Info screen. So while it is technically by design, it is something we would like to fix as well.

when viewing the game online, is their a way to see how the batter is doing in the game (1-3 with a double)?
