Pitcher Decision

Post by mad hornet » Mon Jan 03, 2011 2:45 pm

I scored four timed fastpitch softball games over the weekend with iscore and noticed that none of our pitchers were awarded win / loss decisions. Often due to time limits or run rule (mercy) games only go 4-5 innings. Is there a way to edit the setting so a pitcher can be credited with a win pitching fewer than 5 innings? I'm assuming this follows MLB where a starting pitcher has to go 5 innings to get the win?

There are just too many rules for iScore to try and assign a Winning/Losing pitcher automatically. Every league has its own rules, and there are always special situations that can change those rules, so we leave it to the scorekeeper to assign the winning/losing pitcher. You do this in the Game Info screen (select the game from Game Manager) - there is a place to select the winning/losing/save pitcher for each game.
