Reviewing Pitch Counts In Game

Post by EricR » Sun May 17, 2009 10:28 pm

One of the most common questions a coach or parent want to ask the scorekeeper concerns pitch counts. And especially after a half inning when the player just finished pitching. Is there an easy way to jump from the main game screen to review the other pitcher's information? Pitcher A for the home team just finished the half inning and now the home team is batting. Coach says "what's his pitch count?" Is there a way to quickly bring up this information? Only the current pitcher (visiting team in this example) is readily available.

If not, perhaps tapping the "Lineup" button during a game would bring up the lineup screen with stats to that point, and then by tapping the player's name you could get to the details if they needed to be edited during the game (which you don't want users to do anyway).

We are going to be adding an "info area" in an upcoming release for not only "pitch count", but also "who is coming up for the other team" and other such information.

For now, you could bring up the scorecard or statistics and see the pitch counts for each pitcher there.
