changing IPads

Post by J8535 » Fri Apr 30, 2010 12:13 pm

I had a bunch of data for this application on my old IPAD. I had to replace the IPAD because it was malfunctioning. When I tried to import the data it would not function because I now have a different ID NUmber. I tried DATA Sharing but it did not work. HOw do I get all the data back on this new IPAD?

did you export out on your old iPad? If so you will need to email support@fasterthanmonkeys.com your old Customer ID and New Customer ID to Support and request they transfer data on their end from old to new so you can import on the new one..

Yes. I did both of those things. Hope they respond quickly. I have a game today.

Also, now my app is crashing any time I try to add a team. Ugh

We have identified the issue... people are getting their new iPads and trying to do an "Import" on the iPad. This tries to import a previous export from that device (not your old device), and winds up with a completely blank database that does not work. We are fixing this now so you will wind up with a Blank database that works, but will still not be your old data. You have to use Data Sharing to transfer data from an old device to a new device.

I just got the iPad and have games on my iPhone. I tried the Bluetooth send/recieve to data transfer but am not getting pairing. Is there a specific sequence??

I keep book (old school) and tap it in post game until I get good at speed. Some games so much happens it's even tough to score in pencil! Yes - I will use the app as record with a few more games of entering post game.

Parents like the stats and calendar on the team site. We just want to be able to upload from the different devices to the same site. Will that be possible once I figure out the data share to my iPhone from the iPad?

Thank you for an excellent app!!

You must use the internet data sharing for iphone to ipad, transfer ..(something technical about different bluetooth protocols on the two units, so bluetooth won't work, iphone to ipad).

ON IPHONE
1)From iPhone, export the data (Options > Export)
2) Note your iPhone Customer Id and Password (Options > Admin Website)

ON IPAD
3) on Ipad choose .. Options > Data Sharing > Get From Web Database...
Follow the onscreen instructions to select data and merge as appropriate.

Thanks for the feedback-

Since our team site was established from the iPhone account - suspect we have to export from iPad, import to the iPhone and re-export to post to the team site... wow... or can I send games from any device to the same team site?

Thanks again!

If you can email us your team website name and the two Customer IDs from the devices, we can transfer the team website over to the iPad if you would like. Just send the info to support@iscorecentral.com.
