How do I substitute a pitcher when using a DH

I also have a substitution question. On the team that my son plays on we typcially have two players not playing that may go into the game at a later time. I understand listing them in the lineup as "not batting" and I can make their substitutions without any problem. But I have found that if I do that and I need to make position substitutions for players already in the game- i.e. right fielder comes in to pitch, pitcher moves to short and short goes to right I can not get the players moved around in the app. I will end up with the original pitcher on the mound AND in short. The only way I've found to correct this is to list ALL players as batting and then skip the ones that are sitting at the time. If I do this then I can substitute without any problem. Am I doing something wrong the first way?

My Bad. I was thinking of a team losing it's DH like what happened to the Ray's yesterday.

Official MLB rules actually say a DH can only be used for a Pitcher.

Rule 6.10 here:
