Create a game, then SWITCH home an visitor

Post by terrylowe » Sat Apr 24, 2010 5:50 pm

When I create a game, we have no idea if our tournament team will be the home or visitor until the flip of the coin. It would be nice to be able to enter the team lineups before the umps get there. Is there an easy way to switch who is the home team and who is the visiting team after the game is created but before the first pitch?

Press play from the game info screen, it takes you to your game, go to lineup, options, swap teams.

I am new to iScore but love it so far... I have a follow on question to switching home and visitor. I do just as suggested by clicking play on a game then switching the lineup if necessary. Last weekend, however, I had a terrible thing happen to a new user of iScore. The game started so I clicked Play! on the scoring screen only to realize that I did not have the home/visitor team set correctly. I could not find a way at that point to switch them. I was lucky to have someone keeping a paper score book so I deleted the game and created a new one, then caught up on the several plays that occurred while I recreated everything. Did I miss something? Is there a way to switch the teams after I have clicked Play! but no pitch had yet been thrown? Thanks!

Hit 'Undo' to get out of 'Play!' mode. Then you can swap home/visitor teams.

As my kids would say..."Seriously?!?" That's too easy but makes perfect sense... thanks very much PetroGuy!

for reference, when at the "Game Lineup" screen the way to switch home and away is under the "OPTIONS" button > SWAP teams choice.
