Re: Verifying Player Merge Steps (answered)

Thanks for the reply. I can revisit this a little more tonight when I have time to sit and look at the device and review your thoughts. I did complete merging of players over my teams/years carefully. That didn't seem too difficult. Tedious, but not hard. So I am down to one guy for each player that has played as a Spirit since we started using iScore. No more duplicates. And I setup this season using those existing players. New 2018 League and new 2018 Spirits (35) for example. All the other teams' individual players are still duplicates, but I could care less about their stats, etc and if I want to be thoroughly crazy, I can merge them later.
I didn't know that about player highlights you speak of. What I was doing was using the TEAM website option. So I have website subcriptions for my 18, 35, and 45 squads, and then one for each our two Fall Ball squads. So 5 team sites linked to a single team. I then use that team stats link to embed into my actual website, and then for each player's profile (each season) a link derived from those stats to show individual performance.
I'm better understanding now that all that information I'm getting is actually year-specific. So I'd need to re-link each of the above 5 I've created to this year's versions of those 5 teams. And again, I'd only see this year's stats and this year's individual player breakdowns. It appears that merging players however, has broken the individual stats links I had for 2017. For example, here's the link to my 35 team from 2017...

You see each player and all the details for the full season for 2017. That's the link I've embedded on my web page for Stats: http://www.spiritsbaseball.net/veterans-35-stats/
That functions correctly...but again, based on the explanation above, that appears to only be an annual thing until I update the links with the new season's teams. (Can you see me slowly learning here? LOL) Using myself as an example, you can view my profile on my website by visiting here:
http://www.spiritsbaseball.net/roster/shawn-lee-2017/
On my player profile, you can see there's a link to my individual stats (again, stats for 2017 only). That hyperlink setup to those stats was here:
http://iscorebaseball.com/player_stats. ... 827906abcf
However, it appears to have changed to a NEW link, perhaps because I did the combining of players? I see now that I can obtain those links again by simply revisiting teams stats page (I use the open in new window link to obtain these from the team stats page on my.iscorecentral.com) and I can replace those links to again show 2017 individual status.

So pardon the thinking out loud. I think I have my first question answered now that you've helped me learn it. But it appears I don't have a "lifetime stats" option per player. Do I need to use the player option you explained and then add additional links to player profiles on my website to pull it from the back end? So for example, you'd click on a player's profile, you'd see a link to their current year individual stats like I've shown above, but then an additional hyperlink to get them to the player lifetime page you've explained? Thanks for all your help. Learning this stuff is awesome!
