Help to Recover Deleted Team (resolved)

One of my team managers, who uses a different device that I have linked to my account (my.iscorecentral.com) for a separate team we run, proceeded to create a fall ball team using our existing summer team. I had asked him to create the new fall league as if it was a brand new team in a brand new league so as to keep summer and fall stats as separate clubs so to speak. I asked him to create our fall team as if it was a brand new team which we'd then link to a new team website. I realize we won't have career stats because of this, but my goal is to keep summer and fall baseball separated. Upon creating the new league, he selected the existing team from summer rather than creating an all new squad.

I went in to make corrections thinking I could remove the existing team from the fall team he created for the new fall league. I proceeded to then delete the new team from that new league and it now appears I've deleted the team entirely from iScore as it no longer shows in the league from the summer. It appears I've removed it completely from the device and yes, I exported to the website afterward so that information is now overwritten and gone. The team website I had created for the summer team now shows a question mark because there is no longer a team linked to it. Upon choosing to link a team to it administratively, that team is no longer an available option under my.iscorecentral.com.

Is there ANY WAY to recover that data? Upon re-accessing the device, the games from summer are actually all still intact, including the player stats, play-by-plays, etc. But when you look at the list of games from the summer league, the team is missing. When you look at the list of games, it's blank where there should be a home or away team for our summer squad. Is manual re-entry our only option? I tried re-adding the team back manually, including selecting the existing players on the device, but it did not "re-bridge" the team to the games or the summer league.

How do we fix this?

Support is your best bet


On your my.iscorecentral.com web site. Under maintenance menu is a way to 'undeleate' teams .. look there..

When you think data is no longer on your device (and you did not delete),make sure you turn on ALL league, and re check.

With correct use of leagues and teams and players, you can have fall and summer stats completely seperated and still have career atats for players

You create a new team each season, but populate team rosters with players on your device if returnees, only create a new player if new. Then use leagues to group teams/players/games by seasons

Are you referring to the device ID? That's b751415854. It's linked to my existing email address and account, which shows my and his devices. We have a handful of teams and unfortunately he named the team "Dallas Spirits" so there will be several. This particular edition of our team is tied to the NTABL Open American League.

Like I mentioned, the games still show on the device, but there is a blank for team name for Dallas Spirits for each of the games still saved. I thought by re-adding it that it might reconnect, but it didn't.

Is there a way to merge players seeing as we've recreated them each year for the past 5 years? I know it will be work, but I'd be willing to do it if there's a merge player option.

Yes you can merge players,

Look under player manager you will find a merge button (bottom left). Merge will then split the player list screen and you select the player on the right to merge in to the player on the left.

Any additional input on this? I'm going to review the selecting ALL option under League Manager. I thought you might be able to check something when you asked for my device information...thanks!! Still hoping to fix this.

When we look at your data for the b751415854 device, we can see the Dallas Spirits are listed as a team that was deleted. If you do an Options -> Export, then log in at my.iscorecentral.com, you can go to the Maintenance screen and undelete the Dallas Spirits. Then do an Options -> Import to retrieve the data back to your device and your games should have the deleted team back in place.

You can then use the Merge option to combine multiple copies of Dallas Spirits back into one.

Thanks for that. I now see it as the assigned team under the Accounts listing. We haven't done the import yet but plan to. I'm a little terrified by the message, "Are you sure you want to import? If you select Yes, all of your existing data will be permanently replaced by the previously exported data."

When I click on the Account screen and click on the team to go to the team website, all the Games are displayed for the season. However, when you select Stats, there are no stats on the team website. Is this because we have to Import to "reconnect" the data, and then in-turn, the data on the device will then return to the website upon our next export?

As long as you do an Export, go to the Admin Website, undelete, then do the Import in that order, all will be fine. It will just replace the data on your device with that from the server. (The Export sends your current data to the server, and the import pulls back in the data from the server to your device.

Yes, after doing this you should see stats appear on your website. If not, let us know after you have done all these steps and we can re-link your "dallasspirits18" website to the new team ID.
