Hello, we are relatively new to iScore (started in mid-April) and I am the typical scorer. However, I won't be at the game tonight and need someone else to score. I typically score it on my iPhone through the app. How do we make it so someone else can score the game tonight?

Would appreciate any feedback.

The good news is iScore can handle this using what they call DATA SHARING. just takes following a few steps and exchanging device ID and passwords with each other. The hardest part is making sure guest scorer is up to speed/ trained on scoring.

Here is what i suggest...

PRE GAME

• the "Normal Scorer" will need to :
  1) Set up a temporary Admin Web Site Password (NORMAL DEVICE > ISCORE BASEBALL > OPTION > ADMIN WEB SITE > PASSWORD)
  2) Update your device database to iScore servers (OPTION > EXPORT )
  3) Provide Guest Scorer your Customer ID and Temporary Password (found under OPTION > ADMIN WEB SITE )
  4) if not already done, Register device to an email address
  • If iOS device, Register from device to an Email Account (OPTION > REGISTER)

• The "guest scorer" will need to :
  1) download the app on their handheld device (phone or tablet, android or apple)
  2) Set up their Admin Web Site with a Temporary Password (GUEST DEVICE > ISCORE BASEBALL > OPTION > ADMIN WEB SITE > PASSWORD)
  3) Initiate guests Admin Web Site (OPTION > EXPORT)
  4) Provide normal scorer, the guest Customer/Device ID and Password (found at OPTION > ADMIN WEB SITE )
  5) Register guest device to an email address
  • If iOS device, Register from device to an Email Account (OPTION > REGISTER)

SCORE GAME

• train new scorer on your preferences, (here is link to user manual if you or they need http://iscoresports.com/baseball/manual.php?gd=1)
  
  Guest Scorer ...
  • Choice to set up new game, team and players from scratch , or retrieve team and roster information from the normal scorer device using OPTION > DATA SHARING
  • to retrieve the team from the normal scorer, GUEST DEVICE > ISCORE BASEBALL > OPTION > DATA SHARE > GET FROM WEB DATA BASE > NORMAL SCORER DEVICE ID and PASSWORD and then Follow the prompts, Select the NORMAL TEAM or PRIOR GAME > Map the teams, Verify / Import
• Create and Score game
• When Game is over, update the iscore servers with OPTION > EXPORT

POST GAME

• Guest Scorer
  1) Update the iscore servers with most recently scored games. OPTION > EXPORT
  
  Normal Scorer
  1) Retrieve the game to your device, OPTION > DATA SHARE > GET FROM WEB DATA BASE > GUEST SCORER DEVICE ID and PASSWORD
  2) Follow the prompts, Select the scored game, Map the teams, Verify / Import
