Active vs Inactive roster players on Android devices (answered)

Post by kecombest » Mon Jun 01, 2015 6:23 am

When is the active vs inactive roster players feature available now on IOS devices going to be available for Android devices?

Until it is available what is the best approach? To create a new team for each year/season with the active players for that year/season? Otherwise all players from past seasons show up on the current team roster. League filtering for the player doesn't seem to remove previous players from the current roster.

Active / Inactive is available on Android already. When you are on the team roster screen, tap a player, and there is an Active / Inactive selector in the bottom right corner where you can tell whether a player is active or inactive on the current roster.

yes, that is correct, but when you make a player inactive, his stats from the previous season no longer show up online. So how do you remove a player from a roster, without removing his stats from the online portal?

If you log in as Admin to your Team Website and go to Settings, in the far right column there is a setting for "Show Players" where you can choose "All", "Active", or "Filter by League". If you set it to All it will show even inactive players. If you actually remove the player from the roster, the player will not show for the team online because the player is no longer on the team.

Let me try and restate and clarify support response .

You can move a player to inactive on your team roster on your device and change the setting on team web site to "show all" and have the inactive players stats show on team website

But if you remove a player from team roster his stats are not goong to show up anymore on team site -by design .

is there a way to make a player inactive, but also drop him from the team stats without deleting him from the roster?

NO,

but you can simply, remove player from a team roster, at any time (he remains in Player Manager, and in any previous game line ups with all his stats). you can Re add him back to Team Roster at any time.

It really is that simple.

Reason: Edited to correct a typo. Android does have the active/inactive flag on the player profile

Belated update and apology , upon rereading this post (for another reason), I noticed I may have Misread the last posters question (as it was similar but opposite of original post). .

@ GLMSAS11 Yes you can make a player inactive on your scoring device team Roster and then select ACTIVE PLAYERS from team website settings and ONlY active players will show on team web site Roster page and Stats Page. his stats will stay on the team Manager > Team Stats in handheld device however . (which may be what was asked) .. . Sorry if my prior response mislead somehow.

This was stated by FTM support for original poster question, (color emphasis added)
