Team website stats bug for players on more than one team.
Team website stats bug for players on more than one team.
When an existing player is added to a team for a single game ("borrowed" to fill in for a missing player, something that's common in Little League), that player's stats are shown correctly on the iPad application for the team--only the stats that player accumulated in that game are show in the stats pages, and the team stats include only the stats accumulated by that player during his game(s) with the team.
On the team website, however, the stats shown for the player are the stats that player has accumulated during all games--even those not played on the team for which the website has been created. Additionally, the team stats are wrong: rather than including only the stats that player accumulated during his/her time with the team to the team total, it adds all the stats accumulated by the player for all teams.

Re: Team website stats bug for players on more than one team
this is not normal team web site behavior. i have many players who play on different teams and the web site keeps it all straight..
Lets investigate.
in the game where the player played for another team.. was he on BOTH teams starting line up?
Was he playing against the team that is associated with the team web site.

The player's normal team wasn't involved in the game at all.

If a player is playing on your team for a single game, you should not include that player on the Team Roster. The player should only be included in the lineup for that game.

Re: Team website stats bug for players on more than one team
support is spot on..
when you pick up a player do not include them in your TEAM MANAGER Team Roster, and all will be fine (remove him from TEAM MANAGER (not player manager or the Game Line up) and then option export and all will be fine
(I was miss thinking about your original post, you said "borrow" but i was thinking you "Loaned a player from your team to help the other who was short.. not sure why i thought that.. but my miss)

Re: Team website stats bug for players on more than one team
How about if a player moves from one team to another midway through the season? Then you'd want that player on the team roster, which would cause this problem anyway: the player's stats for the entire season--accumulated while playing for both teams--would appear on the website team-stats page, not just the player's stats with that team, which would also skew the team totals. (Again, the iPad stats page seems to get this right, but the website stats page doesn't.)
Re: Team website stats bug for players on more than one team
I just borrowed a player for a game, and when I added him to my game lineup, iScore automatically added him to my team-manager roster, so now his entire season's stats show up on the team website as if he had accumulated all those stats while playing for our team.
The stats presented within the team manager are correct, though, so this really does appear to be a website bug.
Is it safe to remove him from my team-manager roster? I won't lose any stats for him, will I?

Re: Team website stats bug for players on more than one team
I tried removing the player(s) in question from my team-manager roster (leaving them inactive wasn't working), and that removed their stats from the team stats even on the iPad app.
So this is DEFINITELY a bug: a player's entire season stats show up on the website statistics page and are included in the team stats, regardless of whether the games were played with that team or not.

That is correct. The player was a borrowed player.. not part of the team.. so should not be displayed in Team Stats. If you view the Game Stats, you will see the player's stats for that game. You do not want them to be displayed with Team Stats however.

Re: Team website stats bug for players on more than one team
But, borrowed player or not, those stats were part of this team's game. The website should show the stats any players accumulated while playing for it, and no other stats, regardless of what other teams that player may also have played for.FTMSupport wrote:That is correct. As I said, the iPad app gets this right--showing the borrowed player and only the stats he had as a member of the team--and the website gets this wrong, showing all the stats that player has had for the entire season, and adding those entire-season stats to the team stats.
iScore is handling this two different ways, one way in the iPad app and one way on the team website, and, obviously, both ways can't be correct.
