Fielding opportunities

Does Iscore have the ability to tell me how many opportunities a fielder had at each position.

Yes, iScore tracks a players defensive stats at each position. Fielding Opportunities are incorporated into the fielding percentage stat at each position:

percentage = (fld_putouts_1+fld_assists_1)/(fld_putouts_1+fld_assists_1+fld_throw_errors_1+fld_field_errors_1)

the example calc is for fielding%@ position "1". the also track in total and all positions 1-10

I will add iScore captures "fielding opportunities" consistent with standard MLB methods...


but "opportunity" only captured on Put outs, assists and errors. not total touches..

.. example .. If a SS makes a sportcentr stop deep in the hole.. but no out made and no error..... no opportunity "credited" .. routine ground ball through the infield fielded cleanly by outfielder to hold runner at first... no Opportunity. but if the ball gets by the fielder, and an error.. it gets captured.
