Box Score at top of Game Scoring Page

Post by rockportjack » Sat Mar 15, 2014 7:06 pm

The box score square shows a zero in both the top and bottom half of an inning, even before the bottom half has started. A minor irritation, but I suggest that square should be blank until a run has scored or the half inning has ended. That is how it appears on the scoreboard at a live game.

Thank you for the suggestion. We have seen it both ways. ESPN's site shows the 0 in the bottom of the inning as soon as the top of the inning is complete and that is the model we have followed. We believe MLB's website does the same thing.

I would vote blank also because a lot of iScore games are youth games and run rules come into play where they don't for MLB games. There are times that the bottom half of an inning simply isn't played and the zero is misleading.

Sounds as if blank bottom half is unanimous. Even with the experts. Change coming??
