Upcoming 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc. Batters

Post by gadgetfreak » Wed Sep 16, 2009 9:06 am

I think I had made an enhancement request before the new version came out to include the on deck batter as well as the "in the hole" batter. It doesn't seem to have made it into this release. My 4th graders (who can never remember when they are up) need as much advance notice as possible.

I noticed I could press Misc then starting lineup, but I had two problems with that:

1) It was two steps and I felt that I was being removed from the main screen too much (I need a split second glance and then need to go back to scoring).

2) It wasn't clear who was up and who was up next and following, etc.

Am I missing something? What is the easiest way to see the next upcoming 4 batters (for example)? Thanks.

Either lineup or going to the scorecard would be the ways to do it in iScore itself (with version 2.0, the in-game scorecard comes up quickly).

If it is for the players, the best way is usually to have a lineup posted though... having them looking at the device to know when they would be up would be quite a hassle.

We will be adding more options in the "scrolling area at the top" in future releases which will include showing the next few batters, showing pitch data for both pitchers (as opposed to just the defensive pitcher), and other small bits of info people have asked for in the forum.

It is for me to yell out "Joey, David, Mark get ready!" or something like that. So there is no other easy way to show who is currently up in the lineup and who the next 4 batters are?

We don't have a way to specifically do this... but if you go into the scorecard from the scoring screen - the little tools icon in the bottom right, then select scorecard, and your team (home or visitor) at the top, then any time you click that little tools icons, it will pop up the scorecard immediately for you (you won't have to do the additional clicks after the first time). With version 2.0, that scorecard now comes up quickly, so you are always one click from seeing your lineup (and you will know who is coming up based on the scorecard itself).
