I'm coming to y'all in an effort to make my scorekeeping as correct as possible. Thanks in advance!
A new pitcher comes in the 5th inning with one out (his first trip to the plate for the season) - he gives up three runs without recording an out. The game is called by the 10-run mercy rule.
Because I cannot divide by zero (he has no innings pitched since he didn't record an out), he does not have an ERA. Do I just wait until he does get some numbers (an inning pitched in his next game appearance) and calculate these previous ERs with the numbers from the second game?
Thanks!
Scorekeeping
Re: Scorekeeping
yes. he currently has an infinite ERA.
Good news is, there's only one way it can go from here...

Re: Scorekeeping
Thanks for the reply Mark. Good luck with the 10U Reds. We always had the most fun on the traveling teams ... Enjoy it while it lasts - the years fly by.
Re: Scorekeeping
Yeah, I know they do...I thoroughly enjoy every minute of them. Actually, my son is playing 10U for the second year (he played up a level last 2 years), so I feel like we paused time for a year, getting a second season of 10U
