Need to score both baseball and softball

Post by amyhas4kids » Sun Oct 09, 2011 3:13 pm

I've been using iScore for several years to score my daughter's competitve and high school softball. Now, her little brother has reached the point where I need to scoring his baseball games. What are my options here? I really don't want to mix the softball and baseball teams, the softball and baseball players, etc. Plus, iScore is set up for softball (number of innings, types of pitches, etc.). I have no problem buying the app again to have a "baseball" and "softball" iScore, but I don't think I am able to do this in ITunes, correct?

What would you do?

When you create each game, you can toggle the Baseball / Softball settings in the Options screen for the game. You can use Leagues to keep the data separated. Many people score multiple baseball and multiple softball teams all on a single device, and Leagues is intended to allow you to separate the data easily. Here is a link describing league usage in more detail:

So, your suggestion is to use the league feature to separate baseball and softball? I currently use it to group tournaments.

We suggest using it for both. You can have a set of softball leagues for your daughter, and a set of baseball leagues for your son. Just turn on the appropriate league(s) depending on what you are going to be scoring that day.

AmyHas4Kids - League Manager is the key to keep things organized in your app., (easier and cheaper than trying to manage two apps..).. You just create leagues for your baseball needs, sons league fall 2011.. Daughters team fall 2011, when one is selected the other is hidden..

If you have two devices, you could have one be baseball and one be softball....iscore is device specific.

Also, I recommend team web site subscriptions, if you have not tried one for your daughters team.. Try one with your sons baseball team.. likely you will find it addicting..

I am not w/ FTM. Nothin in it for me..

If you are not familiar with the team web sites.. You can see some examples at
viewtopic.php?f=14&t=1681" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Sounded like you wanted to keep your teams separated.. This is a great way.. And makes it easy to share with others By specific team..

I find i use the web more often than my handheld to review player and team stats. A great place to house teams past games - play by play, score cards and iscorecasts..
