Scatter Chart/Assist Attempts
Our 11U team frequently rotates fielders around
. It's hard to tell from a player's individual stats how many balls the short stop is getting or the center fielder, etc, etc, etc. Iscore is capturing the info and assigning it to the player and not the position. Is there any way to get that information displayed by position?
Thanks,

Re: Scatter Chart/Assist Attempts
Can you give an example of what you are trying to see? Are you looking for something that just says:
P: touched the ball 3 times
C: touched the ball 108 times (every catch is considered a touch)
1B: touched the ball 21 times (they would field the ball + receive thrown balls to first)
2B: touched the ball 5 times (again, they field + receive thrown balls)
3B: touched the ball 4 times
....
And so we can understand, what would be the reason for a report like this?

Re: Scatter Chart/Assist Attempts
Something more like:
In 20 games, 2nd base had (30) attempts, 3rd had (5), SS had (40), etc. Attempts being balls hit to that position. Kinda like a global scatter chart I guess. The software is already capturing that information because you have to enter both successful attempts (PO's) and unsuccessful attempts (errors).

To help the coaches position the best athletes/fielders in the most active positions based off your pitching staff. And so we can understand, what would be the reason for a report like this?

Re: Scatter Chart/Assist Attempts
This is the first request we have had for such a report. We will add it to our enhancement list and if others start saying they are interested in this functionality as well, we will prioritize accordingly. Thank you.

Re: Scatter Chart/Assist Attempts
this is a very interesting variation on the old request to show fielding stats by player by position.
nice idea.
a force workaround. a very odd way to get at the data (very manual and very laborious ) would be to create generic players called 1st, 2nd short etc. and sub them in your game history game by game inning by inning , and then record the stats and re sub back in real players if you wanted. i have done that for generic opponents before when i did not have their names anyway. Not sure the answers would be worth the time, but an idea
