Transferring team/game/player information...

Post by Toadfox » Mon Sep 23, 2013 1:01 pm

Just upgraded my iPad to IO7, and lost everything that was on there, including iScore football. I re-downloaded it, but lost all the team/player/game information I had in there already. Found out I had to re-do the admin website, which gave my device a new username ID. Thus, I can't access ANY of my previous stats, teams, names, what have you. I've tried getting the information from my old web database using my old username and password (everything's still there on the web), but every time I type in the information (and I KNOW I'm doing it right), is claims it's an invalid customer ID or Password. I've also tried connecting to my laptop via Bluetooth, but apparently the devices are incompatible, for some reason.
It's maddening. I still have all the game and team information stored, I just can't get it back to my iPad. HELP.

Never mind. I just signed up to create a team page, and I'm transferring things over that way. Crisis averted. Sorry for all the hysterics.

On second thought, this is the PERFECT time to panic. I've been able to download the roster from the website I created, but it doesn't bring in any of the stats they've already accumulated, and I can't get the games downloaded. So, again I ask... HELP.

If I haven't received a reply to this by tonight, I'll just have to start all over.

will help you ..

If we can't solve it here, you can email to support with your old and new user id and they can transfer.

but we should be able to solve it here.

unfortunately, you have run into one of the quarks of the iOS registration process, the number is unique with the device and install, if you change devices or re install from scratch, you get a new unique customer/Device ID number. Enough about what happen, lets solve it and get you running..

First, can you get into both new and old Admin web sites.. ?

If you are having trouble getting into the new iPAD Admin web site.. here is what to try

http://iscoresports.com/baseball/kb/faq ... log_in.php
If you are having trouble logging in to the Admin Website (http://my.iscorecentral.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;), go to Options -> Admin Website screen in iScore on your device, and it will show your Customer ID and Password there. If you try and log in and it still does not work, try changing your password on the Options -> Admin Website screen, and then try logging in again. If it still does not work, try doing an Options -> Export from within iScore, make sure you get the "Successful" message, and then try logging in again.

Next, once you can get into both Admin websites, what you want to do is register Both your new iPAD football and old iPAD football to a common email address.. here is how
http://iscoresports.com/baseball/kb/faq ... device.php

Log in to the Admin Website at http://my.iscorecentral.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
(see Options -> Admin Website in iScore on your device for login Customer ID / Password).
Go to the Account tab, and enter your your email and name.
An email will be sent to you at the email address you enter. Check your email in box and confirm the registration. If you do not receive the email, be sure to check your SPAM folder in email and/or be sure you can accept emails from "DoNotReply@iscoresports.com".
Repeat the registration for your additional device(s) and confirm the registration.

THen, you just need to Copy data base from old ID to new ID
http://iscoresports.com/baseball/kb/faq ... lldata.php
* Do an Options -> Export in iScore from BOTH the device you are copying from and the device you are copying to
* Make sure you have registered BOTH devices to the same email address (How do I register?)
* Log in to the Admin Website (http://my.iscorecentral.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)
* Click the Accounts tab, then the Manage Data button
* Select "Copy" next to the account you want to copy data from, then select "To Here" for the account you want to copy the data to
* A few confirmation boxes will appear to be sure you really want to transfer the data
* After the data has been transferred, you will do an Options -> Import in iScore on the device for the account you copied data to to retrieve the data to your device

Please post back as much as needed so we can get you back and running
(I am stepping away from computer for a while, but one of the other moderators or support can help too)
