Football Web Site edit problems

Post by ftsdogs » Fri Aug 30, 2013 9:49 am

This is my 2nd year with iScore Football. I was with you last year but kept stats for a different high school football team. The web site editing was slow and archaic last year, but this year I can't do much of anything.

I purchased a new website for both our varsity and JV (iscorefootball... ftsdogs and ftsdogsjv). About the only thing I can edit after login to Settings is the colors. I was able to upload a logo and after several times of logging in, it finally showed up.

I can't make any edits to any pages.
The stats uploaded great after last week's game. Likewise, anything I do on iscorecentral or iscore mobile uploads like it should, but I can't do anything to edit the Home, Calendar, .

Are there edit/save links that are missing on the other pages? I can see it on the settings page but don't see it on other pages.

Is there a tutorial or recommended editor?

Thank you,
Reggie Till (user ftsdogs)

If you log in with your Admin password, and go to the Home page, an "Edit Home Page" button will appear that you can use to edit. Be sure your guest password and Admin password are not the same or it will not allow you to edit (it will always think you are logging in as guest). You can change your Admin password on the Options -> Admin Website screen.

Calendar is also editable when logged in as Admin. There will be additional buttons available on the Calendar tab when logged in as Admin.

When editing the Home Page, we use the Tiny MCE editor which uses a little disk icon to save your changes. You can see more documentation on using the Tiny MCE editor here:

I was going to reply to ensure your guest and admin passwords are different. I suspect that will help.

go to your team site , once you log in with a unique admin password.. you should be directed back to home page of your team web site and have a little white box in upper left that says "edit home page". click on that to enable the "editor".

On calendar, (if logged in as admin, you will see a box below the calendar for embedding google calendar. (wont see if logged in as guest).. many of us have found embedding google calendar into iScore web site better.. if you are familiar with google calendars and want more info on that.. post back. .

additionally of course, when logged in as admin, you should see a bunch of settings on Settings page. Sometimes when i make a change or upload settings.. depending on browser cache settings, i have to exit and restart for them to "take"..

by the way... I have used with Chrome, IE and Safari on PCs and Macs.. but use Safari Mac most often.
