Make it simpler

Post by Steve » Sun Aug 28, 2011 3:21 pm

Love what I can capture but having difficulty keeping up with live game. Some suggestions
1. If you had an option to not use the QB handoff, it would be help. When you tap run, it would default to run play without QB handoff.
2. Have run starts from line of scrimmage instead of having to move them there to start the run.
3. Misc option to end game like on baseball app in case I screw up clock starting and stopping
4. Make it available for iPhone as well as iPad

Thanks!

1. Not sure what you mean on this... we need to record who the QB is for each play. Once you have set the QB, you should not have to do anything with the QB from play to play if you do not want to.

2. The yardage calculated is based on line of scrimmage. You do not have to move anyone to the line of scrimmage. We capture where the ball was handed to a player so it can be reflected correctly in the iScorecast, but you do not have to move players to the line of scrimmage for iScore to capture yardages correctly. Just move the player to where the play ended.

3. We may add this in a future release.

4. As you can see, football requires a lot of space to fully capture a play. We would like to have an iPhone version as well if there is enough demand, but the iPad really lends itself to scoring football better than the size of a phone does.

It seems multiple people have thought that you have to move players to the line of scrimmage, but this is absolutely not necessary (nor desired). Here is a link to the iScore Football documentation... we need to get the word out better on this apparently:

Not sure if this is the same reason Steve is asking for the feature in point number 1 or not, but we often snap the ball directly to the running back.

You can select the running back as the first player to get the ball and have the player run with it. Just tap on the QB and select the player the ball was actually snapped to and have the player run.
