Am I dumb, or...

Post by Nik » Sat May 03, 2014 8:13 am

Hello. I'm not able to score games... :?

I activated my account, I added teams and players through the website. All OK. Then I added scheduled games with my android device. OK.

Well, I choose the game to score, I get into the Game Info screen... I press Play to go to the score screen... and... nothing: no score screen.. it get me a screen with the players list!! WTF?

You need to have at least one player set to Batting = YES for each team, and then the Play button on the player list will be enabled so you can begin scoring a game.

Many players for both teams are set to Batting = YES, and the Play button is enabled

There should be a Done button in the upper left on Android on the Player List screen. Tap that (only enabled when there are batters) then tap the next Play button.

Ok, I was able once to start that way and to score a game (btw, it was only a fake game for test purpose)

Unfortunately, last Sathurday I tried to score a real game and it was all properly done: there was enough batters and all... but in the Player List it didn't allow me to change the defensive positions of the players, then I wasn't able to Play because somone of the lineup was not in a defense position :-/

Is there a simple and easy way to manage lineups, defense and pitchers for the games or I must change everytime the roster???

Team Roster is different than Game Line Up

In team manager, you can set the roster and a default batting order and defense positions

For each game , to start - you get prompted to review the game line up
(For each team home and visitor, each team must have at least one player batting = yes to advance "done" button)

The default game line up is pulled from team roster .. You can change it here for game by game adjustments . After this the team roster stays as it was under team manager and the game line up is set specific for this game

Also, you are not required to have defensive positions assigned in order to score the game. Any or all can be left unassigned.

In fact I review the line up and I'm able to change the batting order

Then, why I can't start the game? :?

If you have a game that is all set up (player with Batting = YES on the lineup for both teams) and you can not start it, please do an Options -> Export from your device and email your customer ID (found on Options screen) and which game it is to support@iscoresports.com, and we will take a look to see what is going on. Please also include the specific type of device you are using so we can try and reproduce using your data on a similar device.

So now you understand how you can easily set a default line up in team manager and then just 'tweak' for any game specific changes ..
