Discover Teams Issue

Post by GARY1364 » Mon Apr 07, 2014 12:13 pm

Not really an issue but I have just started using iscore the past two weeks. I have scored four baseball games and two softball games. Question is this....I manually made a team for our usssa boys team and used it to score the four games. I have discovered their team is in the discover teams function in iscore. If I bring that team in how do I get stats to save and save them game data if it is at all possible.

THanks

You can use the Merge option from Team Manager to combine the two teams into one so the stats will be combined. See Merge in the following section of the iScore documentation:

Thanks for the quick response. I will look at that.. As far as the four games I scored I have saved them and exported them. Do I just leave those alone?

Yes, you would just leave the games the way they are. Discover the team from USSSA, then merge the teams (select the USSSA team in the "left list" and the existing one in the "right list" so that you are merging the existing team "into" the USSSA team).

I see that makes sense. Then I have double players, so I am thinking that I now need to merge the new players into the existing players so as to retain the stats?

Ok let me rephrase that a bit. Teams are merged and under the roster I have double players. Now i would imagine I need to merge the newer player with no stats into the player with stats. The only difference I can tell is some of the spellings and no numbers for the new merged in players. Thanks for the patience I am a new user and really am liking the program, just trying to find my way around it.

Yes, you would want to merge the players as well. You will want to select the players that were imported from USSSA in the "left list" and the players you created manually in the "right list" so you are merging your manual players "into" the USSSA players. The stats will carry over. By doing it this way, if you Discover from USSSA again, it will not create those same players again. It will see they already exist on your device.
