Screen Modes?

Post by dianrob » Wed Mar 13, 2013 8:12 am

Is there a Screen Mode option between "Small" and "Large"? I love the Large view but is there a way to suppress the Pitch grid? I don't use it and it's taking up some valuable real estate. I know the Small view doesn't have the Pitch grid on it but I love all the other stuff on the Large view. Not a huge thing, just curious. Thanks!

No, but you can overlay the scorecard (at least on iOS, not sure if this on Android version).

There is a slider that allows you to pull it out and cover both pitch-by-pitch and pitch location, or just one or the other by sliding it up or down.

If not using the pitch location, its nice to have the scorecard right there.

Thanks, I'm thinking it's an iOS feature and not available on the Android. Darn it, should've got an iPad! Hey, Faster Than Monkeys folks, anything similar coming soon for the Android version?

If you are using a 7" Android tablet, if you click the Balls/Strikes area, it will toggle the Pitch Location to be a Pitch by Pitch listing instead.

I'm using an 8" Android Pantech Element tablet. That sounds like just the feature I'd want but is it an option with my device? I would do it from the "Large" screen mode, correct? By Balls/Strikes area, do you mean where I record Balls/Strikes or where they are displayed in the upper righthand corner?

It is hard to know each specific Android device as there are literally thousands at this point, but you would tap the upper right corner where it has the Balls / Strikes label to toggle the display modes.

It's not responding to my "tap" so it must not be a feature for the tablet I'm using. However, since I already have the Pitch by Pitch grid in the upper right corner, I'm thinking it's not an option to "exchange" the Pitch Location for the Pitch by Pitch since there's room for both on an 8" device. No biggie, I'll just ignore it. Thank you for responding.

Ah yes... if you are already seeing the pitch by pitch, then you have the largest screen and it would not toggle. There is a "mid-size" screen between your large screen and the small phone screens that have this "toggle" (tablets like the Google Nexus 7").
