Custom Reporting

Post by ggora » Mon Oct 08, 2012 5:08 am

Hopefully I didn't miss this searching.

I have a request from one of our managers to be able to give him extra detail on batters. He would like to know for each batter whether they had a fly, popup, grounder, line. Wants the report weather the batter was out or safe?

Any way to get this data?

Is there a way to get it directly from the DB if so where is it stored on the tablet?

Thanks

You could achieve this using the API, but doe require some work.

Any documentation on using it to obtain the information or examples?

What is the database? proprietary? SQL?

The hit charts also provide this information for the last 25 at bats. Different types of hits are differentiated (ground, line drive and fly) and the color of the line signifies whether the AB was a hit, a ROE or an out. You lose detail (when those hits were made) but if you need more recent information only, you could use leagues to narrow your hit chart data. But does provide an easy visual on what the batter has done.

Thanks everyone

Hit locations from the admin page on the website gets me the info I needed from this weekend. Will develop from the API to get it in a text format.
