Flex and DP playing defense at the same time

If you have any rules related questions, please ask in this forum. In general, enforcement of rules is up to the Umpire of the game and iScore does not specifically enforce them, but we want to make sure we score within them. Ask here, and experts can chime in.

Can the FLEX and DP play defense at the same time in a girl's fastpitch high school game.

Yes, they can play defense at the same time, in any position. The can never be in the batting order at the same time.

the removed fielder the DP plays defense for (when not the flex) still bats in her spot in line up and she (the removed fielder) is not considered to have "left" the game. you still have 10 players in the game with 9 batting. and not used a reentry. (Flex on defense not batting, DP batting and on Defense, plus the removed fielder still batting)

Yes...they can always play defense at the same time. They may only play offense for each other.
