Scoring error on muffed foul ball

Post by Ksagrera » Wed Mar 06, 2013 9:22 am

How do I properly use iscore to record an error on a muffed foul ball when the batter singles, then later scores. It was scored as foul ball strike two, assign error to first baseman for muffing foul ball, next pitch single, then scores on next batter who doubles. Iscore shows the batter with a single and counts the run as earned. I know I can go and adjust the game stats manually, but is there a way to score this differently in order to record the actual events. Is the batter actually given credit for a single? Is the pitcher actually charged with a base hit?

Misc->Assign Error (regardless of result of the AB)

Yes, batter gets credit for hit and pitcher is charged for a hit. But run should be unearned.

I agree with all you said. How do you show this in the line score to show run was unearned. We scored as foul ball, assign error, single and run scored which shows as earned

Just tested. Works as expected.

I did foul ball, error, single, triple, k, k, k. 1 run, unearned.

Can you provide the exact sequence so we can see what you did differently?

The whole series....strike one, foul bal, error, single, stolen base, single (runner advances to third), BALK. Run scores. Showing as earned... Maybe it's the balk that's throwing me off

Yep, it sure does.

FTM - can you take a look? Is it the balk that creates the issue here?

Went back, and tried to change the balk, but it won't let me edit the balk. Please advise if there is a way to do this

It is the balk as a second run scored in the inning with two outs and it is showing unearned. Wish I could send a picture of the scoresheet for you to see
