Baseball scoring question

Post by Gungi07 » Sat Apr 07, 2018 9:31 am

Bases loaded no outs
One hopper back to pitcher
He catches ball but it gets stuck in his glove as he tries to throw hone
He records no outs

What’s the scoring on this?
Hit?
Fielders Choice?

Good question. I'll have to look this up when I get a chance. My first inclination would be that this is an error since the fielder is in charge of his glove. A ball shouldn't get stuck in most gloves (since we don't see it that often).

I would score E1 as 1) ordinary effort should have made and out and 2) it wasn't brain freeze (mental mistake).
