How to score on an IFR Infield Fly in baseball. (answered)

If you have any rules related questions, please ask in this forum. In general, enforcement of rules is up to the Umpire of the game and iScore does not specifically enforce them, but we want to make sure we score within them. Ask here, and experts can chime in.

How to score on an IFR Infield Fly in baseball. (answered)

Bases loaded. One out. Batter pops up between P & 1B.
IFR is called but pitcher drops the ball.
Runner on 3B scores & other runners also end up advancing.
How do I score the run (and other advancements)?
Stolen base? E1? Advanced by batter?

You would enter the out for the batter as Infield Fly. The runners advancing are E1.

Thanks! What if the ball is caught and a runner tags up and safely scores?
It is my understanding you can't award a Sac Fly on a IFR. Stolen base? On the Throw?

If it was deep enough that the runner scored because of the batter's fly ball, you can use "Advanced by Batter". If the fielder threw to some other based and a runner scored as a result, then you could use On the Throw. The difference is the batter will get an RBI for "Advanced by Batter" and will not for "On the Throw".
