I always thought of last batted out as being called out as a batter. Line drive, ground out, K, etc...
Yesterday in third inning needed a sub. Two outs and the two outs were made by fielder's choice and a caught stealing...
Do I sub the fly out from the previous inning or the fielders choice from the current inning? Makes more sense to me to go with previous inning.
Last batted out pitching sub

Anyone else besides me having trouble following the question here?

Seems you will have to question your league rules expert to get clarification. This seems it may be specific to your local league rules.

Re: Last batted out pitching sub
I would think previous inning...thats what I would do. Not unusual for last batted out to be from previous inning.

Re: Last batted out pitching sub
Question is if in your inning the two previous outs were fielders choice, wouldn't the last batted out be from the previous inning which out three was a pop fly.

That's what I was arguing. Fielders choice is not a batted out in my mind.
