Mapping Teams/Players Second Device

Post by KCGully » Sat Apr 26, 2014 4:31 am

I have a father who is going to keep score for a game I am going to miss. I want to have him score, and then import the game I miss to keep our cumulative stats going. In the documentation, it tells me I must map teams and games. It tells you that it has to be done but doesn't give you step-by-step instructions.

Here's what i need to know:

1. I have an iPad...where the master files are kept.
2. How do I add an Android device so it can export and map a game/stats to my main account.
3. Then how do I import that game I will miss to join the other games from this season?

Thanks,
Scott

You will use data sharing to transfer teams / games between devices. Here is a link to the full details on data sharing:

Thanks for that...I am doing that. The Admin website of the second device, I login to but it says "No New Games" even though the second device has exported it to the server.

Does it take a while to be visible? Or should be be there instantly?

Thanks again...

Another interesting point: When I go to get data from the second device Admin site, data is there. On the iPad it shows nothing...just "No New Games" and "No New Teams". I assume that's because I have all of the other games/teams. The only thing that should show up when I get data is NEW data?

Thanks again!

Good Afternoon iScore Community,

I have a question about mapping.

We have several parents who score games with their iPads, and we often go back and share data via the Bluetooth feature.

I recently tried to import a game and I mapped to to last year's fall ball team instead of this year's team.

When I figured out what I did I deleted the game and tried to import it again, but now it wants to map to the same team every time.

Any suggestions?

Thanks as always and I love this product!

Once a team is mapped it is permanently remembered. Otherwise you could map Team A to Team B, then later Team A to Team C, and you would cause a problem where iScore would have two sets of mappings for the same team and would not be able to process the data.

If you would like us to remove a mapping for you, you can do an Options -> Export and email us at support@iscoresports.com with your customer ID and which mapping you would like removed.

the only way to remove a mapping is by emailing customer support. /OT
