Fielder's choice or error on attempted 6-4-3 double play
Fielder's choice or error on attempted 6-4-3 double play
Man on 1B, batter hits grounder to SS who fields the grounder and flips the ball to the second baseman for the 6-4 putout at 2B; however, on the second baseman's throw to 1B to complete the 6-4-3 double play, the throw sails over the first baseman's head. The batter does not advance 2B. How is the batter scored as reaching 1B...a FC or E-4? Thanks.

Re: Fielder's choice or error on attempted 6-4-3 double play
