I'm new - haven't been scoring very long, have run into some questions. Here's one from this weekend.
Bases loaded, 2 outs. Batter hits it to the fence, all 3 runners come home. Batter runs into a tag at home, inning ends. There were no errors, just a good hit that got past the outfielder. How do I score this? If I score it as an out, iScore does not count the runs. I couldn't figure it out in the minute I had before the game resumed so I did a triple, then tagged out at home. But I know that's not right. What's the correct way?
Almost-HR, out at home
Re: Almost-HR, out at home
Taking what you said, No error . Sounds like you did fine .. You described he had a stand up Tripple and then was out at home trying to stretch to an in the Parker. So I would have scored as you did . Hard line drive/fly ball, to gap, Tripple. Lead runners all safe home score. then batter out at home, tagged out (eg9-6-2).
