Run Rule

Post by reebies79 » Wed Mar 02, 2016 11:21 am

My son plays little league baseball and our league has a run rule per inning. Once the maximum number of runs is reached for the batting team the 2 teams change positions even if there are not 3 outs. Is there any way to change offense and defense without occurring outs?

"misc - end inning" is used for this situation. Note: this will effect your pitcher stats as they will not be getting 3 outs in an inning. But if you are at an age using run rules, this is probably not so important.

Thank you. I am not too concerned about pitcher stats at this age. The only stat I need for the pitchers is their count right now. End inning will only end the at bat for the maxed out team correct?

correct. You can use "misc - end game" if you are ending a game before the pre-set number of innings.

Is it possible to add a setting for max runs in an inning to indicate when sides need changed or perhaps a scoring line on the input screen for runs this half inning.

I score for my team in games and find this app, looks amazing, definitely want to try it out after playing around with it. I know I should keep track of what number of runs have scored this inning but having an icon pop up to remind me max runs have been scored or a quick glance on my screen to let me see the count would be nice.

There is not an option to set a run per inning cap or alert

The scoring screen has a score board that adds runs as you go, so you do have a way to see how many runs in any given half inning as you go

I understand the app doesn't have this option, hence my request, and I know it has a scoring line at the top, I've used the app watching baseball on TV to simulate games and get practice using the app, it also requires me to keep track of what the score was before we started that half inning, knowing the hectic nature of our games and such, it was a fairly simple request, but I'm taking it as a no on that request either way, maybe I can find an app that has the features that better fit my situation

Support will pick up the idea /request for a max run per inning option.. (good idea) and put on their prospective enhancement list

You also asked for a second item but It would seem You already have in the running box score what is asked below ... If not please explain ..
... perhaps a scoring line on the input screen for runs this half inning.

It was an alternative idea in lieu of the max run option. The thought was perhaps, in the boxes with the score in them at the top of the screen, perhaps a smaller number, in let's say red font for the runs being scored that inning, but this might be a bit confusing to some. In my humble opinion, an option tab for max runs per inning, on/off, and when on, the ability to input the number of runs. This would trigger a pop up window perhaps that would say max runs, with the option to end the inning or go back(undo) the previous entry(perhaps you made a entry mistake). I appreciate you looking into the feasibility of this issue, it was all I could reasonably ask for.

I am not part of Iscore ..support will pick up the idea

I still don't get it .. I have read and re read your post .

On the main scoring screen is the line score for each half inning (x inning R H E L ).. . It updates as u go already . So At Anytime you have the number of runs that half inning.
