Yes apparently I'm speaking in total confusion, I can read a scoreboard just as anyone, however, remembering the score before the half inning started so that I can count 5 from there is pretty simple to do, sitting here typing this post, however, sitting at the field with 20 girls screaming, coaches yelling, fans doing their thing, trying to enjoy a bit of the game myself, keeping track of line up, on the field actions, pitch count, and everything else, it's just a simple request, to have the ability when I'm asked by the ump, coaches, fans who the freak ever that will distract me, that I could easily look down and see on the little app, right in the score box next to the total score of each team, a little red, pink, green yellow, what the hell ever color, a total of runs scored that half inning

It would look something like this, bottom half of inning

Team A 7/4
Team B 8/3

The numbers 4 and 3 above denote the runs scored this inning, with the 7 and 8 denoting total runs scored. For convenience, this would be an option to enact rather than standard. The 4 and 3 could be half size font.

Whoever you are that is confused and rereading my posts, if you're simply an end user of this app who is here to Lord over someone with your vast intellect, please spare me, I care not. I'm simply trying to communicate with the creators of this app and offer a request, or suggestion. If taken, great, if not, fine.

I understand the max run per inning issue. There is a way for you to view the Line Score of the game during the game and that will show inning by inning scoring as well as total runs, hits, and errors. Although this is not what you requested it seems to me it would do the trick. The line score can be found by swiping to the row that shows the AB OD IH batters and pitcher info to the left. It is easy to go back and forth on that row. Hope maybe this will at least help your situation as a patch.

@ monarchstats - good clarification "swipe" to view

@ kinglberry - Nice response...sorry I missed it earlier..

Sounds like Perhaps you missunderstood my initial response that there already is a "scoreboard display" that already exists on the scoring screen and updates half inning score as you go.

I assumed that would help you as that is what you asked for ... I did not say you could not read a scoreboard. In fact I assumed you could..but perhaps you do not know where it is on the screen.

On a tablet device it shows by default in upper center of screen . But on a phone device Depending on your phone, you may have to 'swipe' the header area to toggle from next batter view to scoreboard view to notes view (as monarchstats pointed out)

example .. bottom of 3.. 3 runs so far in half inning (i.e. Running total not just posted at end of inning (.

_______1. 2.3.4.5.6.7.8.9... R H E L
Visitor__0 O O ____________0 0 0 1
Home___1 2 3 ____________3 5 0 2

To better show what I am trying to describe, Click below link from user guide for Screen shots of 'scoring screen' on different devices. You will see the ''scoreboard view'' In top left photo for a phone and top center photo for a tablet ..

I realize this does not solve your automated max run limit idea/request . My intent as a moderator of this forum was to help u quickly resolve one of your needs/asks so you could use the tool more productively ASAP ( by quickly that was within 4 hours of intitial post, 6 hours of second post and 1 hour of third post, and a day of 4th post ). to let you know part of your request already exists .. All to help solve your problem / so you could use the app more productively for your needs w/o waiting on a future development update.

I get it. We have run limits and I need to be on top of the runs. It is easy to miss especially different tournies have different run limits or scorekeepers track slower/faster than others. It would be great to set just like you can for pitch warnings.

Question for clarification on mgmajor post...
Are you advocating feature addition for a half inning run cap or game ending 'mercy' rule configuration feature?

Inning run cap
This thread started with a feature request for half inning run limits/ caps ( eg , some leagues cap the number of runs alowed in an inning, switch batting team after say 10 runs scores in an inning, regardless of number of outs) . The basic baseball rule is change teams at bat after three outs, the request is an overide of basic baseball rules if a run max cap is reached... This half inning max runs allowed request is then on developers list for future consideration

Game ending mercy rule
At first read of mgmajor post, sounded more like a game ending 'mercy run rules" configuration request. Ie 12 after 4, 10 after 5, 8 after 6. As they change from tournament to tournament and league to leage. All over ride standard baseball to end after x designated innings. There are other posts that capture that feature request too.

@mg major.
Obviously the two features are different.

Support may appreciate knowing which you are advocating. "Voting for"

Half inning run limt/cap, or
Game ending mercy rules
