Strike or foul

Post by ixamnis » Fri Mar 27, 2015 3:47 pm

With the count at either no or one strike, batter foul tips the ball. Catcher catches it. Umpire signals strike caught foul tip. On iscore do you record strike swinging or foul? And does it matter?

I would choose swinging strike. If a runner were on base and attempted a steal, you would have to choose swinging strike because it is a live ball. If catcher drops the ball, then choose foul.
